Well, the inevitable finally happened!
To anyone who is connected to me, my store or forum, I have dreaded this for a long long time! The laptop screen died last night, and I am unable to do my work, except maybe check emails etc. I came here to place this notice, and hope that you all will share this so it can get to more networks…
Stephen managed to hook the laptop to the HMdi on both the tv and the laptop, so we can see the screen, but I for one can’t work this way, so I am fqed business wise right now…
The tv screen is on the other side of the room, and the cord only reaches half way, so not even 5 minutes on yet, and my back is breaking… Sucks so damned much!!!!
If there are many typos, this is the reason, the screen is 8 feet away from me…. sorry…
Please share so others know why I may have disappeared… Thanks!

Oh blurg! Tool breakdowns are such a stinking pain! I feel your pain.

I’m back !!!!
New Lenovo Legion Gaming Machine, but NOT for gaming lol…
Graphics are awesome, and it has tons of memory etc…
Anyway, am still trying to replace a few things, (almost there) and set up the internals so it works my way… everything is COMPLETELY different from the old one.
And no Melissa, that laptop was from 2008, and has tons of issues over the years including blinking the screen black twice every 5 minutes (which it still does on the tv) and constantly turning the screen pink or green, ACK!~
My Legion also has a light show keyboard backlight, so cool, but best part is I no longer have to strain to see the keyboard in low light!!
So glad to be back.

That’s funny you mention a gaming machine – my laptop died the other day and the boyfriend and I went to THREE different Walmarts this past weekend only to find every single one of them had no laptops in stock in our price range. But one of them had a laptop for gaming. We ended up getting that – this baby is POWERFUL and an i5 processor (think the i# thing means processor lol) so it’s quick. I’m not a gamer but am loving how nice it is… the only “complaint” – this baby weighs 5 pounds so it’s pretty heavy lol

Same… but I went purposely with purchasing a gamer in mind.
When I was still in music management, in 1999 I bought my first Gamer… it was a desktop then tho, and powerful as they came.
I at the time used it to create a home studio, and along with art and general use, I did “podcast” type interviews, and shows online.
