Unsubscribing From Emails – New Idea Discovery
While in the process of unsubscribing from some email lists I was introduced to something I had never seen before until now.
Usually, when I unsubscribe from something, I get a pretty blank page that says something like “we are sorry to see you go – you are unsubscribed” or a variation of something like that.
But, as I was unsubscribing from an email list today and after clicking the unsubscribe button it took me to a page that showed <i style=””>You Have Been Unsubscribed in red. However, it was on a page that basically was a re-introduction of the person I was unsubscribing from with a special note and an opportunity to sign up for one of their training programs.
It was a surprise unsubscribe page that I hadn’t seen before. Did I read through the page? Yes, I was curious because I hadn’t seen this type of “get to know me again, type page”. Did I re-subscribe…No…Kelly would be proud, but I did think it was an intriguing process.
Curious, have you seen these types of pages before. Have you re-subscribed because the offer was enticing enough to do so? What are your thoughts?
