So…it’s been a while…
I see a few familiar names, so I’m just going to pop in and say hi and re-introduce myself because it’s been a few years. I don’t even remember quite when I stopped popping in. But some recent projects reminded me, and I really need to kick myself into gear putting together the next phase of existence.
I presently have a day job as an Educational Assistant at the local elementary school. The pay is $400 less than my required minimum income but it comes with benefits. I’m looking for some other kind of similar day job in a different industry because I want to maintain a job for future mortgage purchases. My fiance also being self employed and nearing retirement age requires some sacrifice to keep the field clear as we pay of debt and start saving for a house downpayment.
Meanwhile, I’ve also been making a side income (not much, mostly on referral) with a few local and not so local clients (websites on WordPress, press releases & video + other copywriting and video editing) and building a YouTube channel (with a puppet) and building puppets.
I’ve been working with Michelle Waters on a joint venture WordPress Skills course and I’m at various stages of working on other courses.
If all goes well, I’d like to spend the summer building another YouTube channel this summer – also with puppets but geared towards kids.
My dream of buying a campground and building a campground retreat centre remains…it’s a one step at a time kind of thing…
