Posted by Kelly on April 19, 2022 at 7:17 pmI listened to this as an audio book and knew I was missing too much so I’ve picked up a hard copy for highlighting ;) Will share some of my fave takeaways as I go.

“I want the reader to discover that abundance is a state of awareness”
This boggles – but think about the reversal?
Isn’t lack a state of awareness too?

From the book, page 5:
“nothing is more natural than abundance. What is unnatural is scarcity, lack and poverty.”
Yet… isn’t lack everywhere? (My brain shouts this.)
Yes. But did lack come about naturally? Curious question.
Trash is everywhere… but it didn’t come about naturally did it?
Pollution is everywhere – certainly not naturally created.
Hmm… it seems like pointing at ‘what is’ as an argument against ‘what could be’ is rather silly.

“If you shift your attitude away from money as the goal, but instead intend to get more out of life, you will have the support of consciousness.”
-
“Don’t crave money and don’t fear it.”
When we don’t have it, we crave it feircely.
When we have it, we fear losing it.
Interesting that both seem to act to repel it!

What creates ‘Satisfying Work Conditions”?
He refers to job satisfaction – but I think we can apply these to our entrepreneurship as well.
– Money: making what we’re worth
– Low stress
– Job security
– Good relationships with co-workers (team? contemporaries?)
– A sense of being heard
– loyalty and support from higher-ups (mentors? coaches?)
– The chance to care for others
– Opportunities for advancement
– Positive company culture
– Challenging daily tasks
– Being good at your job
Do these things exist for you at satisfying levels?
Where do you feel less than content – and what might you tweak to up the good vibes for you?
