You’ll panic and feel like the sky is falling – but losing our cool doesn’t make anything better so take a deep breath and prepare for the worst possible outcome – that you won’t be able to get back in the room and everyone will be wondering what the hell happened LOL!

Honestly your response is no different than with a casual gathering. All you can do is send an email letting them know you’ve run into a problem and need to reschedule. It stinks – but it is what it is.
