Intimidation is a problem when it stops you from taking appropriate action in growing your business and living the kind of life you dream of.

As we come together as entrepreneurs, our focus will be on what intimidates us from growing our business.

The way I see it, to be successful, we need to be able to act in six different areas of focus.

  1. Identifying Our Purpose
  2. Choosing Our Technology
  3. Attracting Traffic.
  4. Building Community
  5. Creating Products To Market
  6. Developing Our Mindset

#1. Identifying Our Purpose

This is the first step for everyone.  Why are we creating a business? What do we want to bring to it? Who are we going to serve and why have we chosen them as a market?  When we can answer these questions, we can begin to develop a brand, decide what it will look like and stand for.

If we’ve glossed over this area of focus, everything else we tackle will create sticking points for us.  Decisions are harder, confusion seeps in, we get lost in the maze of what to do next.

If I grab a cup of coffee with you, I want to be able to grasp your purpose, intentions, market and brand identity before I take my last sip.  If it isn’t that easy, this area deserves more of your focus.

#2. Choosing Technology

Notice, I say ‘choosing’ technology, not ‘mastering’ technology.  I’m purposeful in saying this area of focus is about making choices because more often than not, I don’t want you to try to to master every item of technology that impacts your business.  Much of the expertise required in setting up software that will help run your business can and should be outsourced.

There are a few up front tech choices you’ll face and more down the road as new opportunities arise.  Knowing what tech deserves your study and operation and what doesn’t is important.  Too many entrepreneurs have spend all their time in this area of focus to the detriment of their business growth.

#3. Attracting Traffic.

Content Marketing is all about getting traffic from our chosen target market. Blogging, podcasting, social media posts, videos, livestreams, webinars, optin gifts, advertising… we do it all to get their attention, be of service and make them want more.

This area of focus is part creating the content and part strategically putting it out there where it can be found.

#4. Building Community.

Once someone has found our content useful and said yes to some small step towards being in community with us, we’re moving into a focus on building that relationships.

They said yes to our optin gift and now we’re engaging them with regular emails.

They said yes to our online community invitation and we’re engaging them in conversation.

Community is not entirely about being in relationship with those who hope to sell to, it’s also about creating connection with our contemporaries, people we’ll partner with and learn from ourselves.

#5. Creating Products To Sell.

Everything up to now has taken place so that we can make a sale.  All the Content Marketing in the world is wasted if we don’t lead our community to offers.

Are you the product, meaning that you’re offering services or consulting?  Will you create and sell access to online courses or membership? Digital resources like PLR? Will you build your profits by recommending other people’s products through an affiliate link?

When you’re in this area of focus you’re asking ‘What am I offering or getting ready to offer today?’

#6. Developing Mindset

When any of these areas of focus fail to get their due attention, it pays to spend some time looking into your mindset.

When building an online business is so well documented, when so many resource and guides are available to help you make it happen – and yet it doesn’t – it is almost always about what’s going on in between your ears.

Our minds are full of Trickster thoughts that intimidate us into inaction or distract us with self-protective busy work.

These live Intimidation Crusher sessions are going to put the bright light of awareness on these Trickster thoughts – breaking their power and creating new possibilities for everyone.
